Once the cards are dealt, a player can choose to 'hit' or 'stand.' If the player chooses to hit, they will receive another card in the hopes of getting closer to 21 without going over. The ace can either be counted as 1 or 11. Cards 2 through 10 are worth face value, but face cards are all worth 10. From more than one traditional 52-card deck, players are dealt one card facing up and one facing down. The object of Blackjack is to beat the dealer with a hand that gets as close as possible to 21 without going over.
